How to Service and Repair a Sway Bar Kit on 2000 Jeep Cherokee?

Before servicing or repairing the sway bar kit, raise the vehicle and place it on support. Take out the nuts, retainers, and grommets from the links at the sway bar kit and remove the links mounting nuts and bolts from the axle brackets. After that, unclamp the bolts holding the sway bar kit to the body rails and take the bar out. If the bushings on the sway bar kit are damaged in any way, change them. Set the bar against the body rail and put in the bushings and clamps with the bar evenly centered under both sides, then tighten the bolts to 75 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Connect the links and grommets using the links to the sway bar kit and axle brackets. Then, tighten the link nuts at the axle brackets by 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) and 36 Nm (27 ft. lbs.) for those at the sway bar kit. Once done, lift the jack and remove the stands underneath the car.
