2000 Jeep Cherokee Windshield Washer Nozzle Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Windshield Washer Nozzle on 2000 Jeep Cherokee?
A: Take out the wiper arms from the wiper pivots before dealing with the windshield washer spray nozzle. After that, remove the eight screws that attach the cowl plenum cover/grille panel and screen to the top of the cowl. Very carefully open the cover/grille panel and screen that holds the cowl plenum, making sure to keep the paint around the pivot openings untouched. Remove both the washer supply hose and passenger side washer hose from the washer nozzle tee fitting and then lift off the vehicle's cowl plenum cover and screen. Hold the grille panel from the bottom and disconnect the washer hose from the washer nozzle. Then, from underneath, remove the rivet that holds the nozzle to the grille panel. Remove the washer nozzle from the cowl plenum cover/grille panel and follow the steps you used in reverse to install it. Remove the snap from the rear wiper arm, letting the rear washer nozzle hang freely from the arm and detach the washer hose from the nipple on the nozzle to finish removal.
