How to Safely Service the Steering Wheel and Disarm the Airbag System on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

The steering column should be serviced prior to the air bag system being disarmed, to avoid automatic deployment. Lay the front wheels flat, unconnect the negative cable of the battery and take away air bag. Installation Steering wheel should be removed using Puller C-3894-A, followed by the steering wheel and air bag, with the last connection of battery.
