  • Q: How to maintain a pilot bearing on 2000 Jeep Wrangler?
    A: To service the pilot bearing, remove the transmission, clutch cover and disc. Use an internal puller to delete the bearing. Lubricate the new bearing with Mopar grease, install the new bearing with hand tools, and install it with a clutch alignment tool. Scuff the flywheel, clean it and reinstall the clutch & transmission.
