  A: Before handling the fuel injector, let off all pressure in the fuel system and disconnect the negative battery cable. Pull out the bolts holding the inlet manifold plenum and then lift the plenum away from the engine, making sure to cover the intake manifold to guard against contamination by outside objects. Detach the fuel supply tube quick connect fitting at the rear of the fuel rail and if any injector connectors lack their cylinder number label, tag them now. After you eliminate the electrical links to the fuel injectors, take the two bolts holding the fuel rail and raise the whole rail straight upward. Lift out the retaining clips from the fuel injectors and remove the injectors. First, use a little clean engine oil on the O-rings of the fuel injectors, then fit the retaining clips onto the fuel injectors and push them into place until they hold securely on the rail. Put the fuel rail above the cylinder head and position it so the mounting bolts are tightened to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.) torque. First, join the required ends of the quick connect fuel tube at the back of the fuel rail, then attach the fuel injector connectors to the electronic side. After that, fit the intake manifold plenum and reattach the battery cable.
