Start by taking off both the door trim and water shield in front of the door; once they're gone, you can lift the glass up to access the front door latch. Take the lock and latch rods off the door latch and release the wire connector from the power door lock motor if you have it. Take the screws connecting the door latch to the door and remove the latch from the vehicle. Put the door latch within the door and connect it to the door end frame with screws. Link up the power door lock motor side of the wire if present and after that, connect the door latch rods to the latch. Afterward, replace the trim panel and water shield and adjust the latch so that the door operates well while you do not close the door to prevent the latch from failing.
