To remove a front door window regulator, remove the door trim panel and glass and loosen screws and release the regulator. For a convertible, place the water dam back out, disconnect the motor and the glass. Reinstall by positioning the regulator, tightening bolts and making sure the glass operation is good before reattaching the trim.
