2001 Chrysler Sebring Control Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace the Lower Control Arm Isolator Bushings on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: The lower control arm isolator bushings are replaced after the lower control arm is separated from the vehicle. The first step is to take off the lower control arm assembly. Install Bushing Receiver MB-990799 and Bushing Remover 6602-5 in Special Tool C-4212-F to make sure the receiver is square on the lower control arm and the remover is placed on the bushing. Then tighten the screw to press the front bushing out. Remove the lower control arm assembly and, using Bushing Remover 6756 and Bushing Receiver C-4366-2, install them on C-4212-F in the rear bushing, placing C-4366-2 squarely on the lower control arm and 6756 over the bushing. Secure the screw on C-4212-F to push out the bushing. Proceed to remove the lower control arm assembly, put Bushing Remover 6877 and Bushing Receiver 6876 in place on C-4212-F (6876 is square with the lower control arm and 6877 is aligned with the clevis bushing) and lock the screw on the clevis bushing to press it out.
