How to Properly Service and Install a Knock Sensor on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?

During service and repair the knock sensor threads into the side of the cylinder block in front of the starter and must be treated with care. To remove the knock sensor you have to remove the electrical connector and unscrew the sensor using a crow foot socket. For installation, simply thread on the new knock sensor and snug it up to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.) for proper performance, as over or under tightening will have an adverse effect on spark control. And lastly, reattach the electrical connector to the knock sensor.
