2001 Chrysler Town & Country Rocker Arm Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Rocker Arm Assembly on 2001 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: To work on the rocker arm assembly, carefully remove the rocker arms and shaft to be sure not to damage the retainer and bolt assembly. First, take your adjustable pliers and grip the edges of the rocker arm retainer, then gently force it away from the shaft as you rock it slightly. Following that, separate the rocker arms, paying attention to note the spots they each were in so you know how to reassemble them. Whenever possible, install the rocker arms in their original spots, assure that all parts surrounding the shaft and cylinder head are fixed, then install the rocker shaft and rocker arms.
