2001 Dodge Durango Idle Control Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How Can the Idle Control Valve Be Serviced and Reinstalled on the Throttle Body on 2001 Dodge Durango?
A: The IAC motor is found on the back of the throttle body and it can be reached by first taking off the air duct at the throttle body and removing the electrical connector from the IAC motor. After that, take out the two nuts holding the IAC motor in place so you can pull it off the throttle body. Set the IAC motor on the throttle body and attach it using the two mounting bolts (screws) that should be tightened to 7 Nm (60 in. lbs.) torque. Afterwards, attach the electrical connector and install the air duct again at the throttle body.
