Dodge Durango Idle Control Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install the Idle Control Valve on the Throttle Body on Dodge Durango?
    A:
At the Throttle Body, the Air Duct and air resonator box must be removed to access the IAC motor. After that, disconnect the electrical harness from the IAC motor and take out the two bolts securing it to the mount. After that step, take the IAC motor out of the throttle body. An IAC motor is installed by attaching it to the throttle body and fixing it with the two mounting bolts, tightened so they reach 7 Nm (60 in lbs). Connect the electrical wire and put back both the air duct and air box to the throttle body.
