2000 Dodge Durango Idle Control Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How Can the Idle Control Valve Be Serviced and Reinstalled on the Throttle Body on 2000 Dodge Durango?
A: The IAC motor on the back of the throttle body can be accessed by first taking off the air duct at the throttle body and then disconnecting the IAC motor's electrical connector. After that, take out the two mounting bolts to free the IAC motor from the throttle body. When installing, put the IAC motor onto the throttle body and use the two mounting screws (bolts) to fasten it, tightening them to 7 Nm (60 in-lbs.). At last, secure the electrical connector and place the air duct back at the throttle body.
