2001 Jeep Cherokee Wiper Blade Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Change a Wiper Blade on 2001 Jeep Cherokee?
A: Begin by gently lifting the wiper arm to remove the blade and its element and make sure the notched retainer end is pointing toward the pivot point before you take off the wiper. Push the release tab on the pivot block latch underneath the end of the wiper blade arm and move the wiper towards the pivot, far enough to free it from the hook. Pull the hook at the end of the wiper arm free from the slit in the wiper blade housing ahead of the pivot block/latch, to avoid letting the arm snap against the glass to avoid damage. Let the wiper arm tip down onto the windshield with care. For fitting, detach the old wiper arm from the windshield, then guide the new wiper blade onto the little hook at the arm's tip, so that the notch on the blade faces away from the pivot. Insert the hook part of the lock through the main part of the wiper blade structure in front of the pivot block until those two parts match up. Operate the pivot block/latch by raising it up against the hook until you hear it release into its locked position and then slowly lower the blade onto the windshield.
