How to Maintain the Control Arm on 2001 Jeep Wrangler?

First, support and raise your vehicle before working on the lower control arm. After that, take off the nut and bolt from the lower suspension arm at the axle bracket and next the nut and bolt at its mounting point on the frame rail to release the lower suspension arm. During installation, place the lower suspension arm into the proper axle bracket and frame rail holder, set the bolts in place and finger tighten the nuts. Take out the supports, drop the vehicle and use an adjusting wrench to tighten the nuts on each lower arm to the required value.
