How to maintain a Door Lock Switch on 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

In order to service the power door lock switch, one has to disconnect the negative cable of the battery, the front door trim panel, and the switch wire connector. Take out the switch screws, and then replace the switch and trim panel, reconnect the wire and lastly reconnect the battery cable.
