  A: Before changing the fuel injector, let the fuel system pressure go down, make the work area well-ventilated and do not bring ignition sources close by. First, take off the lid of the air cleaner, separate the inlet air temperature sensor and the makeup air hose and then get rid of the cable from the negative battery. Should you have one, remove the engine cover or throttle control shield. Cover any part of the hose with shop towels before you take out the supply tube from the rail. After that, take out the Intake Manifold and remove all of the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors. Take out the bolts that hold the fuel rail, followed by removing both the fuel rail and the injectors, each injector removed from its point on the fuel rail. When installing, return the fuel injectors to the fuel rail and coat the O-ring at the nozzle end with a little clean engine oil. Place each fuel injector nozzle into its designated opening in the intake manifold, ensure they are tight and lock on the fuel rail bolts to 12 N.m (8 ft. lbs.). Attach the wires from the fuel injectors, fit the fuel supply tube onto the fuel rail and mount the Intake Manifold back onto the engine. Should this apply, replace the engine cover or throttle control shield, reconnect the negative battery cable and finish by inserting the air cleaner lid, while also linking the inlet air temperature sensor and makeup air hose and tightening their clamps to 3 N.m ± 1 (25 in. lbs. ± 5) torque.
