2002 Chrysler Sebring Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2002 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Before servicing the throttle body, first take out the negative battery cable. After that, unplug the electrical hatches from the throttle body and get rid of the clean air hose. After that, take out the shield from the throttle cable and then hold the throttle wide open to remove both the throttle and speed control cables from the arm. After that, detach the throttle cable bracket and support bracket on the bottom of the throttle body, then take out the other two bolts holding the throttle body. Clean all the mating areas before continuing by turning the throttle bolts loose. Connect the throttle cable bracket and then attach the third throttle body bolt and the support bracket. Tighten the bolts of the lower support bracket to 31.1 N.m (23 ft. lbs.) and the throttle body bolts to 13.6 N.m (120 in. lbs.) torque. After installation of the first throttle cable set, put the throttle lever fully forward and link in the next portion of the throttle cable, then fasten the speed control cable and finally shelter the throttle cable with the throttle cable shield. The final step is to connect the electrical connections from the throttle body, attach the clean air funnel and link the negative battery cable back.
