2001 Chrysler Sebring Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: The first step to service the throttle body is to remove the negative cable from the battery. Come next, take out the air cleaner box and then the throttle cable shield. Take apart the throttle and speed control cables from the lever and bracket and next disconnect the electrical connectors on the idle air control motor and Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). Release the bolts from the throttle body to intake manifold and remove the bracket holding the throttle cable as well. After that, remove the throttle body and the sealing gasket that goes with it. To install, begin by fixing a replacement gasket, install the throttle body and tighten its mounting bolts to 11.7 ±2.25 Nm (105 ±20 in. lbs.). Attach the throttle cable bracket again, wire up the electrical hoses for the idle air control motor and TPS, fit the throttle cable shield, butt the air cleaner into place and link the negative cable back to the battery.
