How to Maintain the Left Exhaust Manifold on 2002 Dodge Durango?

Before handling the left exhaust manifold, first take off the negative battery cable and raise the car with a hoist. After that, unplug the exhaust pipe at the manifold and move the vehicle on the ground. Unfasten the front two exhaust heat shield screws, lift the vehicle again to unfasten the back of the heat shield and then remove the heat shield itself. Remove both the upper and lower exhaust manifold retaining bolts by lowering the vehicle the second time and removing them when the vehicle is raised. After that, unbolt and remove the exhaust manifold and the gasket from underneath the engine.
