It is suggested that for both brake hoses and lines, preformed metal tubes are fixed, while double-wall steel tubes might be used as a temporary alternative when pure metal hose is unavailable. Use an ISO flaring tool kit to make your ISO flare. Cut away the bad spot with a Tubing Cutter and rub out the inside burrs. After that, put the tube nut over the tube and put the tube through the flaring tool so its top is level with the tool bar's top and then tighten the bar onto the tube. Mount the proper size adaptor on the screw of the flaring tool yoke and apply grease to it. After that, align the adaptor and yoke screw over the tube and continue to tighten the yoke screw until the adaptor sits flatly on the tool bar.
