How to Service and Repair a Parking Brake Cable on 2002 Dodge Ram 3500?

To take care of the rear park brake cable, elevate the car and lock the parking brake cable out before touching anything. After that, unscrew the adjuster nut at the rear of the car and take out the rear park brake cable from the intermediate park brake cable. Squeeze together the tabs at the back of the cable's fitting, connecting it to the bracket and then pull the cable through the bracket. Pull the park brake cable away from the back of the rotor assembly, then press the cable tabs at each cable end fitting onto the brake cable support plate. Then, take the cables out of the brake cable support plates.
