2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Wiper Blade Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Change a Rear Wiper Blade on 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: You should begin replacing the rear wiper blade by pulling the rear wiper arm support away from the rubber rear wiper arm park ramp on the right side of the liftgate just under the glass. Push the rear wiper arm toward the front of the car to connect the hinge in its upper position so the wiper blanket and arm are away from the glass and liftgate. Start by pushing the latch tab at the end of the arm. After that, release the blade by sliding it toward the pivot end and out of the hook. Take care to pull the hook away from the wiper arm tip, located just towards the front of the wiper blade superstructure, so that it does not slam against the liftgate or the glass. Gently bring down the wiper arm and put the arm support on the park ramp. Once ready to install, lift the wiper arm off of the park ramp and line the rear wiper up with the hook formation at the tip of the arm-make sure the notched retainer is pointed away from the wiper blade toward the output of the wiper motor. Pull the wiper blade away from the glass and hook the formation on the wiper arm onto the opening above the wiper blade pivot block. Slide the wiper blade pivot block/latch up into the top of the wiper arm where the ends of the hook form a depressing tab, then gently guide the wiper arm down and place the arm support into its park ramp.
