In order to maintain the fan clutch, un-hook the negative battery cable. Take off the accessory drive belt and special tools are required to separate the fan assembly off the water pump. Take off fan shroud and do not have horizontal position of viscous fan drive. Check and clean the fan blades, and change them when they are broken. Refit and screwdriver elements.
