How to Maintain the Thermostat in a 2.7L Engine on 2003 Chrysler Concorde?

In order to service the 2.7L engine coolant thermostat, unplug the negative cable, empty the cooling system and dislodge the engine oil dipstick. Lift the car, take off the left engine mount, and disconnect the components required. Install replacement parts, surfaces and thermostat. The cooling system needs to be refilled and the negative cable should be reconnected.
