How to Remove and Install the Alternator Positioned Above the Oil Filter and Axle Shaft on 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

In order to change the generator, unhook the negative battery cable, unscrew the heat shield bolts, and lift the car. Take off the right front wheel, splash shield and the generator and lower mounting bracket. Installation of the new generator and reconnection of components and tightening of all bolts to the desired calculated torque then reconnect the battery.
