How to Effectively Service and Repair a Starter Motor on 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

To fix the starter motor, disconnect the negative battery cable, air cleaner box and upper starter bolt. Raise the vehicle and disconnect any required hoses and lines, remove the starter. For installation, reverse the steps, making sure all of the bolts and connections are tightened to specified torque. Connect the negative battery cable again.
