First, raise the hood and take off the cover for the air cleaner box, so you can reach the starter motor. Take the battery negative cable off, unplug it and lift the car using a hoist. First, remove the Engine Structural Collar, cut the starter's wiring and remove the bolts holding the starter in place before you remove it. First, put the starter motor back into the lower engine compartment, then fasten it with the mounting bolts and torque them to 54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.). Join the electrical wires of the starter motor and fasten the solenoid
Battery Cable nut to 10 N.m (90 in. lbs.). Once done, correctly resecure the Engine Structural Collar so the
Oil Pan and collar are undamaged. Let the automobile down from the hoist, link the battery negative cable and secure the air cleaner box cover. Then, test everything in the vehicle and make sure it is working, put the hood back in its place and lift the vehicle off the hoist.
