How to replace a Door Lock Switch on 2003 Dodge Durango?

The first step to changing the door lock switch is to break the negative battery cable. Take away the latch hardware and cable on the inside of the door. With the door outside, draw out the door outside latch handle as far as you can to locate the door lock switch, then press the switch from behind the lock to disengage it. Gently remove the wire harness connector from the car's door connections and remove the retainers from the pigtail wire harness. Take off the door lock switch from the door. Place the door lock switch into the door and connect the retainers to the door's pigtail wire harness. Match the pigtail wire connector to the door wire harness connector, slip the switch on to the back of the lock cylinder and secure the door outside latch hardware inside and outside the door. Now, attach the battery negative cable to its place.
