How to Service and Repair a Front Door Latch Assembly on 2003 Dodge Neon?

Remove the door trim panel and water shield before the beginning and then close the front door glass. Remove the link from the hook that holds the lock and latch rods to the door latch and if present, unplug the power door lock motor's wire. Unscrew the latch from the end of the door and take it out of the car. Be sure you keep the door open while fitting the door latch to stop it from not opening correctly. Don't attach the door latch to the main door; screw it to the door's end frame. If there's a power door lock motor, link it to the wire connector and attach the rods for the latch and lock to the door latch. Near the end, put back the door trim and water shield and adjust the latch if it needs it.
