How to Maintain and Fix a Muffler on 2003 Dodge Neon?

In order to fix the muffler, cool the exhaust system and then elevate the vehicle and apply penetrating oil to the band clamp. Take off the ground strap, loosen the clamp and take off the muffler. Wipe everything down, fit new worn parts and place clamps into place, tighten to 47 Nm.
