  A: The first thing to do when servicing and repairing the windshield washer reservoir is to disconnect the negative battery cable and use a hoist to raise the car. Separate the wire connector from the pump and the washer hose at the pump and allow the reservoir to drain. Take off the three fasteners connecting the reservoir and remove it through the fender. After that, take out the windshield washer pump from the reservoir. Install the reservoir by placing the pump back in, opening the fender, fitting the reservoir through the opening and securing it with fasteners and tightening the screws to between 6.8 and 8.5 Nm (60 and 75 in. lbs.). Attach the end of the water hose to the pump and fill the reservoir and next, plug the wire connector into the reservoir pump. After all the work is done, let the car down from the hoist and reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
