How to service the steering gear and the Power Steering Gear Seal on 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Van?

To service the steering gear, clean the pitman shaft, remove the preload adjuster nut and center the stub shaft. Remove the side cover and pitman shaft, remove the shaft and replace seals. Install new bearing, oil seal and dust seal. Reassemble and tighten the bolts of the side cover to 60 Nm.
