2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Ignition Lock Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install an Ignition Lock Cylinder on 2003 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: Before removing the ignition lock cylinder, place the ignition key in the lock, cut off power to the battery by disconnecting the negative cable and take off the top and bottom column covers. Set the shifter to PARK and next find the retaining pin on the key cylinder assembly. Wheel the key to the RUN spot, hit the retaining pin with your thumb and remove the ignition lock cylinder from the ignition. To install the lock, insert the ignition key into the cylinder, line the end of the cylinder with the ignition switch and push until you hear it click. After that, attach the upper and lower shrouds back and connect the battery once more.
