How to service and repair the sliding door lock cylinder on 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Van?

Start by taking off the trim along with the cover over the latch to service and repair the sliding door lock cylinder. Remove the lock cylinder latch rod at the front of the door latch. After that, remove the clip from the lock cylinder and take it out of the door. Take the latch rod from the original lock cylinder and put it on the replacement lock cylinder. Start by placing the gasket, next line up the lock cylinder in the door and then guide it into the front latch access hole, finally install the retainer clip to secure the lock cylinder. Secure the lock cylinder latch rod to the front latch, try locking and unlocking it and lastly put the latch cover and panel back in place.
