2004 Chrysler Concorde Shock Absorber Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Shock Absorber in the Front Strut Assembly on 2004 Chrysler Concorde?
A: Begin by setting the front strut in the shock tower's upper position and fastening the assembly with the upper square nuts and tighten them to 37 Nm (28 ft. lbs.). Then, bring the steering knuckle down next to the strut assembly, being careful not to turn any bolts in the steering knuckle. Connect the strut assembly to the steering knuckle, fasten with the bolts and secure everything with nuts with a torque of 203 Nm (150 ft. lbs.). Join the braking disc to the front hub and bearing assembly, fit the front brake caliper to the steering knuckle by bolting it on with the 2 straight bolts and tighten the caliper assembly guide pin bolts to 19 Nm (192 inch lbs.). Secure the front speed sensor cable routing bracket to the strut assembly, if antilock brakes are fitted. Attach the outer tie rod to the strut assembly and put on the stabilizer bar link, securing each with the correct torque listed above. After that, mount the wheel and tire, tightening the nuts half way and, when done, finish by turning them completely to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.) before lowering the vehicle.
