2004 Chrysler Pacifica Drain Plug Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service a drain plug on 2004 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: You should drain the cooling system before working on the radiator drain plug. Don't uncover the cylinder block plug or open the radiator draincock as long as the cooling system is under pressure and hot. It's advised not to handle the draincock with the pliers, since it can get damaged and you should only remove it if you find a leak. Turn the draincock 180 degrees toward the number 9 and then take the draincock assembly out of your radiator tank. Check the draincock body and O-ring for any harm and get rid of them to be replaced if harm is noticed. With the draincock assembly horizontal and the manufacturer's ID facing down towards the tank, push down and twist clockwise until you hear or feel it lock into the tank. Afterwards, turn the draincock stem clockwise up to the horizontal point and refill the cooling system.
