2005 Chrysler Pacifica Drain Plug Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service a Drain Plug on 2005 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Before draining the radiator, be sure the cooling system has been emptied. Coolant can be very hot and pressurized, so never take out the cylinder block plug or radiator draincock while the system is hot. You should not use pliers on the draincock because it might become damaged; pliers should be used only in the case of a visible leak. Twist the draincock stem in the opposite direction of the hands on a clock to the 9:00 position. After that, unscrew and pull the draincock assembly from the radiator tank. Check the draincock body and O-ring for damage and swap them if it's required. Push the draincock assembly horizontally into the tank opening with the manufacturer's identification mark turned down and rotate it clockwise until it snaps in place. Close off the draincock stem by turning it clockwise until it reaches a horizontal position and then fill the cooling system once more.
