2004 Chrysler Pacifica Fuel Rail Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Rail on 2004 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: At the beginning, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the upper intake manifold before servicing and repairing the fuel rail. If there are no tags on the injector connectors with the cylinder numbers, tag them so you can identify them. After that, loosen the fuel supply line and take out the 4 bolts that hold the fuel rail in place. Take the fuel rail straight up from the cylinder head, then pull the clips and remove the fuel injectors. Instead of full lubrication, gently smear only two drops of clean engine oil on the fuel injector O-rings before you install the retaining clips. Push the injector down onto the rail, so that its clips click into place. Lay the fuel rail over the cylinder heads and gently press it until the mounting bolts have a torque of 28 N-m (250 in. lbs.) Connect the quick connect fitting on the fuel supply tube to the fuel rail and also connect the electrical connections from the fuelinjectors. After that, fit the intake manifold plenum and connect the negative terminal of the battery to the cable again.
