How to service and repair a Shift Indicator on 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

To fix the shift indicator, remove the gear shift knob and floor console first. Remove the socket from the transaxle range indicator and remove the bulb. Install the new bulb, snap the socket back in place, reinstall the floor console and then put the gear shift knob back on.
