2004 Chrysler Sebring Fuse Box Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service a Fuse Box and Its Connected Wire Harness on 2004 Chrysler Sebring?
A: If any problem occurs inside the PDC or in its housing, the whole unit and headlamp/dash wire harness must be swapped. Start with disconnecting and separating the battery cable labeled negative and next remove both the housing and the resonator of the Air Inlet System. For every wire harness connector, separate the wires and work according to the instructions that provide wiring diagrams, procedures for fixing wires and connectors, details on routing and securing wire harnesses, pin information for each connector and views showing where different connectors and splices are located. After that, remove the fasteners holding each of the ground eyelets for the wire harness to the vehicle body and chassis and take apart each fastener securing the engine compartment wire harness to the vehicle body and chassis. Get rid of the screw holding the PDC to its bracket and pull both the PDC and the wire harness out of the engine compartment at the same time. During installation, put the PDC in the engine compartment, line up its mounting holes with the blades on the PDC mounting bracket and screw the nut onto the PDC. Connect the wire harness starting from the PDC in the engine compartment, using each retainer on the harness to link to the spaces in the car's body and chassis parts, according to the wiring manual. Fix each wire harness ground eyelet in place with a fastener, connect all the loose wire harness connectors and then attach the battery negative cable.
