How to Replace an Evaporator Core in the Front on 2004 Chrysler Town & Country?

Disconnect and isolate the battery's negative cable ahead of changing the front evaporator core, as the air bag system will not fire after about two minutes of stopping the main air bag system capacitor from charging. Remove the housing around your HVAC and separate it to get to the evaporator. Carefully remove the evaporator and its foam cover out of the lower part of the HVAC house, being sure the seal on each end is kept in place. During an evaporator replacement, add 1.8 fluid ounces (50 milliliters) refrigerant oil to the refrigerant system. After that, lower the evaporator and its foam down into the lower part of the HVAC housing, checking to see that the rubber seal is in place. Rejoin all of the components and put the HVAC housing into its place.
