2004 Dodge Dakota Cruise Control Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service a Cruise Control Switch on 2004 Dodge Dakota?
A: After removing and isolating the negative battery cable, wait two minutes so the capacitor discharges before attempting to work on the cruise control switch. After that, remove the air bag module, unscrew the switch-to-steering wheel mounting and pull out the switch. Remove the electricity by taking out the connector at the switch. First, plug the switch's connector into the electrical supply, next attach the switch and secure it with the mounting screws, tightened to 1.5 Nm (14 in. lbs.) torque. Replace the air bag module and lastly reattach the negative battery cable.
