How to Service and Repair a Rear Door Latch Assembly on 2004 Dodge Dakota?

Removal of the rear door panel trim and the peeling back of the waterdam should allow you to reach the latch. Detach the latch rods and the connector for the latch harness and then take out all of the screws connecting the latch to the rear door. To install, link the latch harness connector and put the screws in the latch, tightening them to 10 Nm (85 in. lbs.). Slide the latch rods back in, set the waterdam into place and mount the trim panel. Change the position of the latch, if required.
