How to Service and Repair a Rear Door Latch Assembly for Lower on 2005 Dodge Dakota?

For service or repair of the rear door latch, start by removing the trim panel. At this step, loosen the nuts and pull the latch out of the door. Take the latch off of the cable housing and the cable. Attach the cable to the latch and then hook it into the other end as well. Fix the latch in place and screw the nuts into it with the torque wrench set to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.) Lastly, install the trip panel.
