  A: Before you replace the antenna, be sure to unhook and set aside the negative battery cable and then pull off the right side kick panel. Take the antenna body cable apart from the instrument panel and fasten the ends of a suitable sized piece of cable or twine to the coaxial connector half attached to the antenna. Remove the antenna mast and then use an antenna nut wrench (Special Tool C-4816) to unscrew the antenna cap nut and remove the antenna adapter. When the correct door is open, use the opening between the fender and body to pull the antenna body assembly out. While installing, link the removal cord to the new cable, push through the cable through the door hole and place the grommet at its proper position. Before installing the adapter, first connect the antenna body and cable to the instrument panel cable, insert the antenna body through the fender opening and reinstall the right side kick panel. Screw the antenna cap nut to 7 Nm, then put the antenna mast into place and then reconnect the battery negative wire.
