How to service an A/C Accumulator on 2004 Dodge Ram 3500?

In order to service the HVAC accumulator, de-battery, recover refrigerant and access the accumulator. Unscrew the suction line and outlet tube of the evaporator and seal the holes. In case of replacement, fill new accumulator with refrigerant oil, use fittings with new O-rings and adapt components. Last but not least, reconnect the battery and charge back the system.
