How to Service and Repair Fuel Injectors on a 4-Cylinder Engine on 2004 Dodge Stratus?

Remove the fuel rail to expose the injectors inside the engine which allows for easier work. Pull the injector from the fuel rail using the injector clip. If the O-ring is damaged, you should replace it together with the clip, if damage is found there too. Apply this procedure to every injector on your car. During installation, coat the rubber O-ring of each injector with one drop of clean engine oil so it fits properly. Move the open end of the clip into the top place on the injector and position the receiver corner into its side slots in the clip. Place the top section of the injector into the fuel rail receiver cap being careful not to hurt the O-ring. Apply the same method to the remaining injectors and install the fuel rail once more after you have finished.
