2004 Dodge Stratus Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on a 4-Cylinder Engine on 2004 Dodge Stratus?
A: You should first turn off the battery's negative terminal when working on a 4-cylinder engine throttle body. Lift out the air filter hose, lift off the throttle cable shield and separate the cables from the lever and the bracket. Take off the electrical cables from the idle air control motor and throttle position sensor. After that, disconnect the throttle body by taking off the bolts and the bracket for the throttle cable. When installing, put the throttle body at the proper place and fasten it with the bolts at 13.6 Nm (120 in. lbs.) torque. Connect the throttle cable bracket, then fasten its mounting bolts to 14.1 Nm (125 in. lbs.) tightness. Throttle the engine wide open before you install the throttle and speed control cables onto the engine. Attach the connectors again to both the idle air control motor and throttle position sensor and then place back the throttle cable shield and clean air hose. Afterward, link the negative cable back to the battery.
