How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on Dodge Stratus?

First, remove the negative battery cable before working on the throttle body. After that, unhook the electrical wires from the throttle body and remove the air cleaner box. Next, unremove the shield that covers the throttle cable. Push the throttle lever all the way open and pull out the throttle and speed cables from the throttle arm. Subsequently, take out the throttle cable bracket and the throttle body support bracket at the bottom of the throttle body. Loosen and unscrew the throttle body bolts and then carefully remove the throttle body, wiping the parts you took off. At the beginning of installation, only loosely screw in the two throttle body bolts, then install the throttle cable bracket. Attach the third bolt in the center of the throttle body and also put the throttle body support bracket on the bottom of the throttle body. Tighten the bracket bolts to 27.1 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) and the throttle body bolts to 11.9 Nm (105 in. lbs.) torque. Place the throttle lever in its maximum opened position and tie the end of the throttle cable and the speed control cable together. After that, secure the throttle cable shield, than connect the electrical cables going to the throttle body, set in place the air cleaner box and ensure the negative cable is attached to the battery.
